We saw the wet and windy weather coming and so cruised a day early to Deaville and then the next day to the charming and historic town of Honfleur and then have spent the first two of four days here in a holiday atmosphere.
This town, situated on the west side of the River Seine Estuary, changed hands several times in the '100-years war' between England and France and so us Brits feel at home and have left our mark here.
It is nice to have some rest and recuperation and to enjoy this lovely place from our berth right in the middle of the town.
We are now all set to leave Lady Martina at Ouistrehem Marina tomorrow for a week as we then take the Ferry to Portsmouth and then go home by train to Norfolk for a week's shore leave and the family wedding
All remains well on board and the whole cruise is going very much to plan.
