The serious side to Normandy's history
The serious side to Normandy's history

Phew!!

After a cruise inland along the Orne Canal, through Ouistrehem lock to enjoy the attractions of Pegasus Bridge and Caen memorial museums we headed back towards Ouistrehem marina where we have booked a sheltered berth for a week.

We have now left Lady Martina for a week and taken the Ferry to Portsmouth and have come home by train to Norfolk for a week's shore leave the family wedding between Kathleen's niece Sarah and Navin and some of my own family birthdays for us to catch up with.

We have loved our time aboard but can now equally-appreciate the rest from planning tides, weather, distances and tactics and then documenting the whole process. We will be back to Normandy soon and will be back in touch!
