After some amazingly warm and calm days cruising along the Normandy Coast, the weather had eventually broken but the plan was to now cruise inland along the Orme Canal, through Ouistrehem lock and to enjoy the attractions of Pegasus Bridge and Caen memorial museums before heading back towards Ouistrehem marina.
We are now all set to leave Lady Martina at Ouistrehem Marina tomorrow for a week as we then take the Ferry to Portsmouth and then go home by train to Norfolk for a week's shore leave and the family wedding
Apart from some leaks in our pressurised fresh water system, brought on by our new high pressure somestic water pump, all is well on board and the whole cruise is going very much to plan.
